Brayden Hightower, a standout athlete from Hillsboro High School in Nashville, Tennessee, officially signed his National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day, February 4, 2026, at 4pm committing to play college football at Murray State University.
A versatile defender, listed at 6’2″ and around 220 pounds, was a key two-way player for the Burros, excelling primarily as a linebacker (MLB), while also contributing on offense as a running back (RB) and in other roles.
His athleticism, toughness, and playmaking ability earned him recognition, including Co-Defensive MVP honors in his region and strong mid-season stats that highlighted his impact (high tackle totals, tackles for loss, sacks, forced fumbles, and even defensive touchdowns).
Head Coach Anthony Brown praised Brayden’s character off the field as much as his production on it. “Brayden embodies what it means to be a Burro—tough, reliable, and always putting in the work. That quote he lives by? That’s him every single day. Murray State is getting a leader who will make an immediate impact.”
During the emotional ceremony, Hightower reflected on the mindset that carried him through grueling practices and late-night film sessions. “Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even when you don’t feel like it” he told those gathered, a simple but powerful philosophy that defined his path from local standout to college prospect.
