Weapons is a horror movie about 17 children of the same elementary class who mysteriously disappear in the middle of the night from the small town of Maybrook. “Every other class had all their kids, but Mrs. Gandy’s room was totally empty, and do you know why? Because the night before, at 2:17 in the morning, every kid woke up, got o
ut of bed, walked downstairs, and into the dark… and they never came back.” The film follows the shattered community 2 years later, and the journey of the truth finally being uncovered. It explores themes like suspicion, Trauma, and the supernatural.
It features a very original and unique storyline and boasts good performances from the cast. It has also been highly acclaimed by fans, earning the title of the best horror film by “Metacritic” and reaching #1 at the box office since its release.
The main character is played by Julia Garner. She has been in shows like Inventing Anna, Ozark, Waco, and more. She has also won 3 Primetime Emmy awards. The director of this film, Zach Cregger, has directed/ co-directed 3 other movies, including the movie Barbarian.
