The 96th Annual Academy Award is getting closer, this March 10 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, Hollywood. The gala will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel. It will be televised live on ABC in the U.S. and in more than 200 territories around the world. This article presents the biggest categories: best picture, best director, costume design, best actor and best actress.

Kyle Buchanan, The New York Times’s awards-season columnist, has predicted that because of the number of good movies and impressive talent we have been treated to this past year, it was hard to say what film, if any, will be likely to sweep in the big categories.  “Oppenheimer,” “Barbie,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “The Holdovers” and “Poor Things” received nominations in all the big categories.

Who do you think is going to win? Leave your answer in the google forms here.

Winning an Oscar means that you have the acknowledgment of various people for your exceptional work. It serves as validation for the talent, dedication, and contribution to the art of cinema. Winning an Oscar can significantly boost careers, leading to increased opportunities, visibility within the industry, and most important of all, the prestige.

“BARBENHEIMER”

One movie is about the development of a fashion doll. The other movie is about the development of a nuclear weapon. Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” and Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” might not have much in common. But they do share some relevant themes and a high standard of filmmaking. They’re both made by some of the most prominent and respected artists working in the industry today. And they’ll both hit theaters on the exact same day, a now infamous fact that turned these total opposites into adversaries. “Barbie” v. “Oppenheimer”
