Hillsboro High School’s basketball team witnessed an historic moment on January 26, as two standout players, Cortez Graham and Arnez Anderson, achieved a remarkable milestone by joining the coveted 1000 Points Club. In a blowout win against Hunters Lane, the duo showcased their skills and determination, leaving a mark on Hillsboro High School’s basketball legacy.

Arnez Anderson a senior on Hillsboro’s basketball team, displayed outstanding athleticism and versatility. Anderson’s skills in both offense and defense have made him a key player for the team, and on the memorable night against Hunters Lane, he too secured his place in the exclusive 1000 Points Club. The achievement marked a significant accomplishment for Anderson and added to the excitement of the game.

Cortez Graham, known for his shooting abilities, has been consistent on the court throughout his high school career. His dedication to the game and hard work paid off as he reached the 1000 points milestone during the matchup against Hunters Lane. Graham’s performance not only reflected his individual talent but also contributed significantly to the team’s success.

As Hillsboro High School continues its basketball season, the contributions of Cortez Graham and Arnez Anderson will definitely play a major role in the team’s pursuit of the TSSAA State Championship.

HG: Do you have a most memorable point from your high school career?

AA: The most memorable point of my career was the Lipscomb game.

HG: What was your favorite game to play in?

AA: My favorite games to play in are Centennial – district and region games.

HG: What is your pregame hype song?

AA:  went deaf by NoCap

HG: What is your guilty pleasure song?

CG: A Thousand Miles – Vanessa Carlton

CG: 1st in game, first point vs Centennial my freshman year

HG: What was your favorite game to play in?

CG: The Franklin game, at Franklin,  my sophomore year

CG: 2 days into college – Aimee Carty
