Hillsboro high school’s Jeremiah Edwards breaks a school record for high jump

 

On May 11,2018  Jerimiah Edwards broke a school record for the high jump. The record was broken at regionals with a height of 6’8. With his four coaches by his side( Coach Hardin, Coach Rolston, Coach Young, and Coach Tyler he was able to pull off this victory.

Coach Tyler stated, “For my first year coaching back at Hillsboro High school, it was a blast watching J.E grow into a national ranking jumper. There’s never been a guy to jump 6’8 in Hillsboro history. “With plans of attending Tennessee tech university his bright future is apparent.

He has earned a dual scholarship for both track and football at Tennessee tech.   Jerimiah currently stands in first place in high jump in the state. He is scheduled to jump again on May 24th with high hopes of breaking his current record.
