Helpful tips for testing:

When studying for an exam or important test, it is good to know your learning type (visual, auditory, kinesthetic- doing moving touching) so your studying can be more effective for you There are 5 tips for each learning type.

Visual:

1. Write down notes to help you study
2. Look at the teacher while they are teaching (will help you stay focused)
3. Make and use flashcards
4. Highlight and underline important information
5. Make your study environment visually appealing

Study Tips for the Visual Learner

Auditory:

1. Ask someone to read flashcards out to you
2. Quiet study environment
3. Repeat facts to yourself or with a partner
4. Make an audio recording of your class to listen to while studying
5. Ask to be orally quizzed

Auditory Learners

Kinesthetic:

1. Make models to help you study
2. Make visuals (concept maps, timelines, charts, graphs)
3. Look for participation activities with other students to enhance your learning
4. Use the movement of your body to increase attention to your study
5. Use index cards
