Vanderbilt Secures Historic Win Over Tennessee
The Vanderbilt Commodores concluded their 2025 regular season with a decisive 45–24 victory over No. 19 Tennessee at Neyland Stadium, marking one of the most significant wins in program history. Vanderbilt recorded 582 yards of total offense and ended a prolonged losing streak against its in-state rival.
The victory elevated Vanderbilt to a 10–2 overall record (6–2 SEC), the first 10-win season in school history, and solidified its position within the national Top 15 rankings. Head coach Clark Lea commended the team’s resilience and balanced offensive approach, while Tennessee struggled to contain Vanderbilt’s attack in the second half.
