
Lady Burros Hillsboro Burros will take on the Green Hill Lady Hawks in the Region 6-4A championship game on Wednesday, March 5 at 7:00 pm in the Hillsboro gym. Hillsboro is coming into the match hot, having won the last 5 District 11, 4A tournaments. Hillsboro beat Beach High School on Monday, March 3 in the semifinal to advance. In the 2024 Region 6, Beech knocked the Lady Burros out of play in the semi-finals. Held before the Lady Burro’s matchup, Hendersonville was beaten by Mt. Juliet. Hendersonville, who seemed to have the game sewn up, lost a 10 lead ultimately losing to Mt. Juliet Lady Bears. Wednesday’s match-up between the Lady Bears and the Lady Burros who are both 1 seed from their respective district.
Green Hill has been performing incredibly well recently, winning 12 of their last 13 games. Those victories came thanks partly to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. Hillsboro’s victory bumped their record up to 12-8, 6 all difficult non-district games from earlier in the season. Hillsboro came up short against Green Hill in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 32-24, However the Lady Burros have won 10 of their last games, and have been building momentum at just the right time of the season.
