The following athletes have been selected for the regular season All-District Team Girls Regular Season All-District Team: -Eboni Donaldson -Raigan Wiggins -Tiffany Harrigan Honorable Mention: -Sydnee Graham Boys Regular Season All-District Team Coach Rodney Thweatt – Coach of the Year Cortez Graham – MVP Ty Fisher Xavier Washington Max Burtner Honorable Mention Jalen Heard which are competing tonight in the District 11 4A Tournament Championship! Both teams will play on Monday, February 24, at McGavock High School. The Lady Burros have made it to the District Championship for the past 7 years, and tonight marks their 8th consecutive appearance. They’ve claimed victory in 5 out of the last 7 championships! The girls will face Cane Ridge at 7:00 PM. Just like the Lady Burros, the boys’ basketball team has had an impressive run in recent years. They’ve competed for the championship 6 out of the last 7 years, and tonight will be their 6th in a row. The Burros have been a dominant force in district tournaments for over five years, ever since their state tournament bid was unfortunately canceled due to Covid. Both the boys and the girls advance to the Region 6 tournment regardless of a win or loss tonight.
