There’s no place like home for Hillsboro, which bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday in Chattanooga, where they played Whitehaven in a tournament. On Tuesday and Friday, the Burros blew past the McGavock Raiders 76-21. On Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, the Hillsboro Varsity Boys Basketball team won their game against Hunters Lane High School by a score of 79-31.
Hillsboro has also been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
The wins comes with consistent offensive performances across that stretch deep into the bench. as they averaged 62.81 points per game. As for McGavock, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
Hillsboro ran hard Friday to add another win beating Hunters Lane High School 79-31. Hillsboro’s Coming Home event was celebrated with the crowning of Boys Basketball starter Max Burtner.
Hillsboro is plays in another district match-up against Overton hoping to sweep the series. Senior basketball players will be celebrated between the girls and boys game.
