National Day News- Anosmia Awareness

Monday, February 27, is Anosmia Awareness day. Anosmia is a condition causing a loss of smell. What causes this condition exactly? Anosmia is commonly caused by sinus infections, colds, allergies, or even the flu or COVID-19. Tumors, blockages, or a deviated septum can be the reason for this condition as well.

Unfortunately, anosmia can be permanent depending on the source. If the loss of smell is minor, antihistamines, decongestants, or certain nasal sprays can help the sickness.
