Hillsboro Cross Country earn top accolades for 2021 regular season

NASHVILLE – Congratulations to the Metro Nashville Public Schools Cross Country teams who finished in the top three of their respective region classifications. On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 3:30, Metro Nashville Athletics will host the ALL MNPS City Cross Country Meet at Cornelia Fort Park. Hillsboro plans to send its team to compete in this district-wide event.

This season has been exceptionally successful. Region 5 and Region 6 (AAA) and Region 6 (A-AA) regular season results have been finalized and the results for top results for A-AA and AAA classifications are listed below.

Hillsboro Girls Cross Country placed first, and the Hillsboro Boys Cross Country team placed second overall. Both teams are coached by Monique Ferrell.

In addition to team top three teams, Hillsboro swept first place individuals with Suzanna Wilkinson taking first for the girls and Joshua Long taking first for the boys. Hillsboro runner Jinni Deppen placed 3rd in AAA.
