National Day News- All About Barbie!

Thursday, March 9, is National Barbie Day! Do you ever remember the times as a little kid when you would be so excited to pick out a Barbie in the store? In 1959, this toy premiered on this day at the International Toy Fair in New York.

Barbie’s birthday is on March 9, too! Originally, Barbie, or Barbara Millicent Roberts, came with a variety of accessories. It’s great to see how Barbie has evolved, which has been inclusive to everyone today. Barbie also comes with tons of things now! You can add her in water, and she’ll come out in different colors, she has the ultimate dream house, and other amazing things!

We wish Barbie a happy birthday, and without her, we wouldn’t know such an iconic toy for young kids!
