Students report back to school January 8. It will be an A day.
WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK
School Supply Restock
We are doing a restock of much-needed classroom items for our teachers as the new semester gets underway. We have already received lots of great donations, so thank you to everyone who has contributed! If you would still like to donate, we have set up an Amazon wish list of the supplies we are looking for. Donations may be dropped off in the main office this week. If you want to purchase from the Amazon list AND have the items shipped directly to our Teacher Appreciation co-chair, Angela Williams, she will be be happy to deliver them to school to save you a trip! (Ship to A. Williams, 4810 Idaho Ave, Nashville, TN 37209 if you want to take advantage of this option.) Supplies will be delivered to classrooms on Monday, January 14, and thank you for helping us support our teachers!
ISR Application and Deadline This Week
The application deadline for JTM and WEMS 8th graders is January 11th. (If a student applies for SSMV and doesn’t get in, that application will serve as their application to ISR.) There will be an additional application period for 8th graders outside of the cluster, after confirmation of their enrollment at HHS. Learn more about ISR HERE, or download the application HERE.
PTSO Meeting and State of the School
Join us January 17 for our monthly PTSO meeting, which will feature a “state of the school” address by Dr. Pelham. Updates on construction, teachers, and testing are on the agenda. We will have a potluck dinner starting at 6:00 PM to kick things off.
Coming Home Dance
Save the date for the Coming Home dance on January 18 after the home basketball game. More details to come!
